Our Findings
We use a community based participatory research (CBPR) approach to conduct research to understand relationships between the environment and cardiovascular disease, and to develop interventions designed to improve the heart health of Detroit neighborhoods. We collect data using multiple methods and include all partners in the data collection process. We also work to interpret and disseminate the findings to community and scientific audiences in clear, respectful language and in ways which are beneficial to the community.
